Can I bring a copy of my birth certificate to dhs for medicaid if I dont have the orginal?

I was born in Puerto Rico and I dont have my original birth certificate just a copy. I do have my ssc, dl, everything else they request. will they give me a problem being thats its a copy. the state is tn
