What would be the prognosis for stage 4 CCL?

So my dad recently found out he had CCL. It's stage 4 they say by all his swollen lymph nodes everywhere. He's done all his testing (bone marrow biopsy, tons of blood tests, removed a lymph node and tested it.) They just did a pet scan to make sure with all the swollen lymph nodes in his abdomen it wasn't morphing into ritchters syndrome and it came back fine. He's supposed to start chemotherapy next week I'm just curious what his prognosis would maybe be? The doctors said 1-5 years. I'm just wondering if it's different because it's so far along or looking for more information. Anything would help. Thanks!

What the first poster said is right you can get the springfield xd with an external thumb safety but when i was looking i could not find it at any of the stores i went to. So for what its worth if you do want a semi auto with external safeties i went with the FNH FNP 40 cal. Over a glock and the springfield. What else can I do for my anxiety problems?

I have a big problem with anxiety disorder. If my husband wants to go out for just a couple hours I freak out or even if my friends want to go do something and he is not working, I have a hard time going as I am always worried he will not be around when I come home. I am scared of being by myself but yet this is very strenuous on our marriage. Do you ever feel that no matter what you say to your teenager, it's the wrong thing?

I have a 17 year old son and a 15 year old daughter. Following their advice, I am trying not to lecture when they just want to talk. I am trying to avoid offering advice all the time, when they just want to vent. I am trying to word things so that I can be supportive, positive, and firm without being offensive, hurting any feelings, or give the impression I'm angry when I'm not. Even when they need a -chewing-out, I try very hard to word things constructively to avoide getting them on the defensive and to try and solve a specific problem rather than to harp on them for no reason. They don't want me to gush over their accomplishments yet feel as if I don't notice their accomplishments if I say nothing. I don't want to go on and on here. But if anyone knows any kind of communication suggestions for dealing with teenagers, I am all ears. My kids are quite intelligent and sensitive (more than they pretend to be) and I am so looking for ways to communicate with them that leave us able to (1) solve the current problem or crisis (or at least come up with possible things to try); (2) help them feel more confident and positive; and (3) know that regardless of mistakes (mine or theirs) that I love them unconditionally. Any books out there, websites, any kind of suggestions. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong when a discussion or talk or even a good time suddenly disintegrates into tears and anger and I'm sitting there stunned trying to figure out exactly what just happened.

What causes a buildup of energy in a person?

Sometimes at what seems like random I have the feeling that something is building up inside me. It's weird to explain, there is no pain and no shortness of breath afterwards. It could be described as the physical manifestation of something like excitement or a build up of adrenaline, except it happens randomly without any cause that I am aware of. Okay, long story short. I have 4 kittens that just turned 8 months old. One (the eldest) had surgery on his eyes a week and ½ ago. He was born with a condition that he couldn’t see but with surgery he would be able to. The other kittens have since turned against him. I have done all I can think to do. I have separated them except at feedings (recommended by the veterinarian) and sprayed him with kitten refreshing spray (I though this would help because he does smell like the vet’s office) but every day that goes by the other kittens get more and more aggressive and I am afraid that they could hurt him. I thought that it could be that he looks a little freaky because they had to shave around his eyes pared with him now being a strange male cat (the vet also explained that the other kittens might think that since he was gone, they would think he was dead, and now he’s come back blah blah blah). I have 2 male cats that lived together for a long time and they just now started fighting for no reason?

Cat #1 recently threw up to the point of bile. since then cat #2 goes after him and seemingly wants to kill him. this is not a play fight and these cats have been together for at least 6 years (they are my wifes and she had them before we met). Need advice on what may be wrong with my cat?

I wrote yesterday asking for help and the ones that replied were a big help. I took my cat back to the vet this afternoon. She wants to do bloodwork and xrays, but I can`t afford it til next week. She said it may be a good idea then to put him down. About a month ago, his right eye started to swell. It looks like he`s got a ring around his eye. His eye is partially closed, i just started seeing the 3rd eyelid last week and it has clear fluid draining from it. He sounds like he`s congested when he breathes and I think he`s breathing thru his mouth totally now. He`s still eating and drinking some, but not like he used to. He`s 12 years old and I`m not sure what to do. He came to us as a stray when he was 3 and this is the 1st time he`s been sick. Watching him day after day is breaking my heart. So my heart is in the Navy. I want to become a Naval Aviator. Landing and Taking off of a Naval Carrier really appeals to me. I've done quite a bit of research and understand generally the differences between the branches. My main concern is that the Naval Lieutenant at Purdue University told me there are little to none scholarship for midshipman... the Air Force Commander told me that there were quite a few scholarship opportunities.. He also told me to do what I want to do and not to follow the money... So my question is the OPPORTUNITY (not guaranteed) to become a naval aviator and land on carriers worth being in about 80,000 dollars in debt after school? I have out-of-state tuition.. whereas I have high probability of receiving a great scholarship from the Air Force.. I eventually hope to land a job as an Astronaut in the future, if NASA will exist after Obama... I don't want to choose poorly.. Its my future and a big choice... its hard to turn down money too...

I acknowledge that racism exists but I don't think most people understand what it means. It means that one group of people believe that another group is inferior to them in some way. Shortness of breath and lowered pulse-ox. c T Wave Abnormality?

I have had throughout the course of my life, age 53 male-nevered smoked anything and currently 18 years without alcohol, a lower than expected pulse-ox. reading (93-97 max) usually noticed during some minor surgical procedure, but never higher than 97 even when spot checked. Recently, I have noticed a slight difficulty in getting a deep breath and tire easier than what I call routine/normal. I was cleared of cardiac problems two years ago secondary to a complete workup following an abnormal EKG. Recently, during a pre-op workup, I was told that I had a borderline EKG secondary to T wave abnormalities. My treatment team was unconcerned. In the answer I got to my earlier question, which was excellent information and greatly appreciated, I wa told that T waves can indicate oxygenation levels in the blood (paraphrased), with my recent shortness of breath and lower than expected pulse-ox. levels, does this create any additional level of concern?

Why is Winnipeg such a miserable city?

I have lived here for a full year now and I have completely loathed it since day one. I went to the misfits show in cleveland at peabody's down under on the 23, and I was wondering about one of the bands that played. Get a trim at least every month to get rid of the damaged ends. Your hair grows faster when healthy ends so getting a trim actually helps it grow. Also you should use a heat protector. I use a Biolage thermal heat treatment, its just a spray I use right before I straighten it to protect the ends a little more.

It's been about 4 months since my boyfriend left me to go back to his ex-girlfriend. I tried my best to move on- working more, exercising, hanging out with friends etc. I thought I was getting better until I saw pictures of them together and seeing/hearing that he's really happy with her. Please help me i'm confused..?

Approximately 2 months ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of almost 2 years. I am 15, he is 16. I broke up with him because he was very possessive and controlling. For example, he would never stop calling or texting me, he gave me extravagant gifts (with strings attached if you know what I mean), and he was had a bad attitude, and got mad at me if I wanted to hang out with my friends. This one time I was at his friend's house with him and my other friend and my mom came to pick me up and he kept persisting my mom and my mom got really annoyed about it. He would like say things like oh I want to be with your forever and he would actually make plans to get married! I couldn't take it! And at the school dances he would just sit to the side and not let me dance! I was miserable with him! NO ONE I knew liked him.They though I deserved better. The best part is, he would expect me to be all sweet to him when he was being mean to me! And he would act like the victim because I would get so fed up with and his controlling self and I would start saying how I really felt and he would cry like a freaking baby. LIKE I WAS THE BAD GUY! Sorry this is long but pleasee answer. I broke up with him and he was crushed and I had to change my number because every time I would turn on my phone, i had like 60 messages from him. Like he would say "Oh Melina, I will try for you forever you the are one." or "You will regret this." I had NO life whatsoever when I was with him! I could barely do my homework or study because I always had to put HIM FIRST! It has only been like 2 months and he already got another girlfriend who has a boyfriend! Ladies out there who are pregnant, does this sound like normal pregnancy symptoms?

Ok so April 30th I had . Not sure if it was unprotected or not because I think I may have been rufeed (sp?) I think it was with a condom because I kind of remember parts of the night and I don't remember having any leakage that night or the next morning, but still. Ok I had my period last month on April 14th. I am not sure if I am late or not because I have irregular periods and it isn't anything unnormal for me to be 10 days to 2 weeks late. I have been told by a doctor I may have PCOS. I don't think I was ovulating around the time I had because I got a lil EWCM the next few days after April 30th. I am having all my normal period symptoms, sore , break outs, whiteish discharge that kinda smells periody (sorry TMI), and just that feeling like I am gonna flow. I took a pregnancy test first thing Monday morning May 17th and it came out a DEFINITE negative, when I was feeling relieved I noticed the test had been expired for almost a year and a half, just my luck. I am going to get a new test tonight to take tomorrow morning. It isn't too early to test is it? I am not having any other symptoms besides my period symptoms. Does this sound like I am pregnant? I am major stressing which I know can delay my period but I can't help it! =(

ok - take a breath - yu have a very hectic life at the moment and your getting very tangled and caught up in it all! your mum is going through alot a divorce can bring out all sorts off emotions and pressure and if you dad is getting all the money she is going to be very stressed so she is going to snap out - just keep out of her way and support her like do some chores or buy her dinner and set it up. maybe your mum feels like she has to make up for your brothers girlfriend homelife she is doing a really nice thing for her just let your mum do it and keep a look out with it if it seems at any point that your brothers girlfriend is taking advantage of it then speak to your mother or your brother - also you may want to suggest to you mum when she seems in a good mood and calm that your brothers girlfriend should get health insurance see how that goes down - just support your mum and keep a watch on the money situation - hope this helps good luck

Long story short: I have about a year & a half left of undergrad here in Houston. My major is political science (I have always had an interest in the law/government). However, my heart belongs to the fine hearts. I love movies, music, museums, etc. Those are things that I feel enrich my life. The only problem is that I am afraid to take the risk of investing so much time and money into and education in that field. Realistically speaking, it is not easy to flourish in that area. Curatorial work is competitive as it is! I know I should do what makes me happy.....but how will I ever make the kind of money I want & need? The money makes a difference because NYC is my goal-I lived there when I was younger & I want to return. And the cost of living is insane-to live comfortably within manhattan I need to make upwards of 80K. If I knew I could work in an art gallery or be a professor of art history & live in a small town home, I'd have no problem. But I just don't see how thats possible.
