It sounds like you and your EX are on relatively good terms. I would recommend that you make everything official by having him pay you child support. Then you can write up a lease agreement where you lease the house from him. I recommend you actually transfer the payments each month via checks or money orders that can be doented. This way for future reference he can show proof that he actually paid the child support.
