What kind of safety does the glock 23 have?

Trigger and internal safety. What the first poster said is right you can get the springfield xd with an external thumb safety but when i was looking i could not find it at any of the stores i went to. So for what its worth if you do want a semi auto with external safeties i went with the FNH FNP 40 cal. Over a glock and the springfield. It has the external thumb safety, a de-er, its ambidextrous, not much recoil and it has a nice capacity 14+1. I would recommend at the very least going to a shooting range and trying it out.
