AC or NROTC!?????????????

So my heart is in the Navy. I want to become a Naval Aviator. Landing and Taking off of a Naval Carrier really appeals to me. I've done quite a bit of research and understand generally the differences between the branches. My main concern is that the Naval Lieutenant at Purdue University told me there are little to none scholarship for midshipman... the Air Force Commander told me that there were quite a few scholarship opportunities.. He also told me to do what I want to do and not to follow the money... So my question is the OPPORTUNITY (not guaranteed) to become a naval aviator and land on carriers worth being in about 80,000 dollars in debt after school? I have out-of-state tuition.. whereas I have high probability of receiving a great scholarship from the Air Force.. I eventually hope to land a job as an Astronaut in the future, if NASA will exist after Obama... I don't want to choose poorly.. Its my future and a big choice... its hard to turn down money too...
