Why is Winnipeg such a miserable city?

I have lived here for a full year now and I have completely loathed it since day one. I have found a lot of the people here to be preppy, stuck up, have major egos, completely 100% anti-social, and generally there isn't a lot of character diversity in this city, kind of like once you have seen 5 winnipegers you have seen them all if you know what i mean. I have made an effort to modestly socialize and make small talk with people here and they have shunned me. Also, on a purely superficial level i can tell this city is definitely for some an not for others. Most people here dress and act in a particular fashion and they all fallow each other like that. I don't know if the writing is on the wall with my impression of this city but I have almost completely packed my bags mentally and it may only be a matter of time till i do so physically.
