What do US Christians feel about being the last western democracy with capital punishment?

The US has a Christian population who demand that impoverished, abused / abusive women are forced to have unwanted babies, but when those children grow up in a life of confusion and want, and are convicted of a capital crime, those same "save the babies" Christians are on the front lines screaming for the death penalty.
